WAREHOUSING AND DISTRIBUTION SUPERVISOR

The Warehouse Supervisor will be responsible for all facets of the Distribution Center's daily operations. This person will be responsible for planning all operations to meet the various demands. Emphasis must be placed on aligning our services with the organization's objectives.

Responsibilities / tasks:
Business management and analysis
  • Coordinate all center activities and ensure operational coverage and planning
  • Manage key performance indicators (KPIs) related to, but not limited to, warehouse costs, productivity, equipment efficiency and others.
  • Implement action plans to influence results and measure these actions.
  • Integrate operational practices in line with market practice
Work organization
  • Establish and follow the daily operations plan and ensure that the action plan is executed by the various teams.
  • Follow the space management plan to maximize space utilization.
  • Responsible for tracking transactions and balancing inventories.
  • Communicate and follow up with operations team and all shifts.
  • Set priorities for all shifts and ensure continuity between shifts.
  • Organize and participate in productivity meetings.
  • Work closely with customer service to maximize resource utilization.
  • Train, monitor and update CT-PAT initiatives (e.g. yard access, loading, etc.).
Staff development
  • Communicate and monitor operations department objectives.
  • Train staff to meet the demands of customer engagements.
  • Train, coach and influence while integrating good operational practices.
  • Monitor performance and evaluate staff (using it as a tool to coach and motivate employees).
Labor relations
  • Plan staff vacations and vacations while ensuring business continuity.
  • Follow-up disciplinary files with the Human Resources department.
  • Maintain and promote good relations with the employees.
Budget
  • Ability to supervise and control the department's budget and expenses.
Other
  • Other related duties as required by Distribution Manager.
