Job summary

Econo lumber in Prince Albert, SK is hiring a Warehouseperson for a permanent full-time role. The position offers an hourly wage of $22 with a regular schedule and probation as per policy. Training provided, and a benefits package includes extended health and dental coverage, staff discounts, and RRSP contributions.

Location is at 1800 6th Ave East, starting immediately. Two positions are available. A valid driver’s license and ability to lift up to 50 lbs are required.

Qualifications

• Able to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and perform physically demanding work.
• Valid driver’s licence and willingness to complete local deliveries as needed.
• Strong attention to detail when picking orders, checking product, and handling paperwork.
• Good communication and teamwork skills in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
• Experience with forklifts or warehouse equipment is an asset, but training may be provided.
• Secondary school education preferred.

Responsibilities

• Load, unload and move products and materials by hand or using basic material handling equipment and trucks as required.
• Move material onto and off moving trucks or vans.
• Perform other material handling activities such as counting, weighing, sorting, packing and unpacking.
• Operate winches and other loading devices to load and unload materials onto and off trucks and loading docks of warehouses and industrial establishments.
• Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle such as condition of equipment, and loading and unloading of cargo if required.
• Operate industrial trucks, tractors, loaders and other equipment to transport materials to and from transportation vehicles and loading docks and to store and retrieve materials in warehouses.
• May perform other activities, such as opening containers and crates, filling warehouse orders, assisting in taking inventory and weighing and checking materials.
