Qualifications

  • 2-3 years experience in a mill, warehouse, greenhouse, or farm as an asset.
  • Pesticide dispensing certificate preferred.

Trouw Nutrition is hiring a part‑time (approximately 15 hours a week) Warehouse Worker/Retail Sales Associate for the Chilliwack Mill Store.

About the role: Our Warehouse Worker/Retail Sales Associate is responsible for the movement of inventory between our warehouse and retail store, processing sales transactions, receiving and displaying merchandise, providing customer service and product guidance.

Responsibilities:

  • Complete all paperwork required for assigned tasks ensuring proper regulatory documentation for food and chemical safety, and follow quality standards
  • Process customer orders with respective vendors
  • Move and receive inventory from warehouse to appropriate store areas, using pallet jack
  • Ensure all merchandise is organized properly and logically on shelves
  • Absolute customer service – friendly, outgoing, knowledgeable, great with people, and a desire to get to know customers and meet their needs

Skills and Expertise

Qualifications:

  • English written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong problem‑solving skills, collaborative and communication skills
  • Proficiency in cash handling, MS Office, and other computer applications is a must
  • 2-3 years experience in a mill, warehouse, greenhouse, or farm as an asset
  • Pesticide dispensing certificate preferred

Expectation from the Role:

  • Part‑time, (Saturdays are mandatory), shifts vary from 7 AM – 6 PM. 15 hours a week.
  • Some physical effort is required: the ability to lift up to 50 lbs on a regular basis and the ability to stand for long periods of time
  • Follow strict manufacturing practices and safety policies
  • Veterinary dispensing certificate will be provided
  • Animal health and/or horticultural knowledge is an asset
