Job summary

Caleres is seeking a Warehouse Worker at the Perth Distribution Center to support inbound/outbound operations, inventory controls, and order fulfillment. You will use RF scanners and the Warehouse Management System daily to unload, sort, pick, pack, and ship freight, while maintaining safety and accuracy.

This role requires basic computer skills, Grade 12, and the ability to stand, lift, and work in a distribution center environment.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 or equivalent.
• Basic computer skills.
• 2 years’ related experience is an asset but not required.
• WMS experience is an asset but not required.
• RF handheld scanners experience is an asset but not required.

Responsibilities

• Unload inbound freight from sea containers and trailers.
• Sort inbound freight into the staging area for receiving.
• Receive freight by using scanners and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
• Inspect inbound freight for vendor compliance and any ticketing when required.
• Move freight both physically and electronically to assigned location in the building using RF Scanners.
• Pick Store allocations and eComm orders daily by using RF Scanners and then package them for shipments.
• Shipments are moved to the shipping area and prepared for loading.
• Load trailers following the daily shipping schedule.
• Perform cycle count function to satisfy audit requirements and as required to maintain DC inventory accuracy.
• Perform other tasks within the warehouse as required.

What We Do – Accountabilities
