Job summary

Pet Valu in Surrey, BC is seeking a Warehouse Worker to join our energetic team. You will pick store orders, pack them for delivery, and operate a motorized walkie end-rider. Must have a high school diploma and at least 500 hours on a motorized walkie; reach truck certification is a plus.

You should be able to lift up to 50 lbs and keep a safe, clean workspace. The role offers starting pay of $19/hour with mastery and shift premiums, plus potential career growth.

Responsibilities

• Set up and organize the pick path for each pallet.
• Select stock according to the store order sheet and pick/pack accordingly.
• Record quantities accurately with a low error rate.
• Build pallets with proper height, weight, stability and shrink wrap.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and report safety issues.
• Operate moving equipment safely and ensure equipment is functional before shifts.
• Perform other duties as required.

Looking to join an energetic and dynamic warehouse team? Pet Valu, a specialty retailer of pet food and supplies for Bosley's, Tisol, and Total Pet, is looking for candidates like you! We are looking for Warehouse Workers to join our warehouse team! You will be picking store orders and preparing them for delivery to the stores. You will be operating a motorized walkie (end-rider) and helping to keep the workplace safe and clean. Wage is starting at $19/hour.

What are we looking for?

• Education: Minimum: High School Diploma
• Experience: 500 hours on a motorized walkie. Reach truck certification an asset, but not required.
• Comfortable lifting products up to 50lbs each.

What you will be doing:

• Set up (organize) the pick i.e., where to start and stop the pallet
• Select stock according to store order sheet (picking and packing instructions)
• Accurately record quantities selected (or shorted) maintaining an error rate of no more than 3-5 errors per 1000
• Build pallets of selected stock while observing standards for height, weight, stability (breaking point), and security of product with shrink wrap
• Perform assigned tasks to maintain a clean and safe working environment, i.e., sweeping, clean up cardboard, etc
• Advise Replenishers of empty pick locations
• Operate moving equipment safely and ensure equipment is in proper working order before each shift
• Perform other duties as required
