Job summary

G-P Distributing, a Yukon-based food service distributor, is seeking a Warehouse Worker to support loading/unloading, order processing, packing, inventory counting and shipping.

Candidates must be physically capable of lifting 50 lbs, work well in a fast-paced environment, and hold a valid Class 5 driver's license; prior warehouse or food service experience is a plus. This full-time role offers benefits and a collaborative team environment.

G-P Distributing is a locally owned and operated food service distributor that has been servicing the Yukon and North Western NWT since 1995. Position: Warehouse Worker

This position is responsible for performing an array of duties such as loading and unloading delivery vehicles, quality control, accepting incoming orders, processing, and packing orders, counting inventory, and ensuring orders are prepared and shipped in a timely manner. They will need to always keep the work environment clean and tidy, and comply with all relevant safety rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.

Job Type: Warehouse Class: Full-time (40 hrs. per week)

NOC Code: 65102

Hourly Pay: $18.51-$24.00 per hour based on experience

Key responsibilities

• Load and unload merchandise from trucks
• Receive the freight using the handheld
• Put away freight with proper rotation
• Complete appropriate documentation for all outbound shipments
• Stack, wrap and store milk crates
• Stack and store pallets
• Ensure the produce is culled and the product dates are checked twice a week
• Quickly and efficiently pick, pack and label customer orders for shipmentCarry or transport orders to delivery platforms with pallet jacks
• Assist any customers when picking up orders and making sure they get what they ordered all the while providing exceptional customer service and demonstrate professionalism
• Repack and weigh any orders that require such handling when necessary
• General warehouse duties such as cleaning, organizing and basic maintenance and repairs
