Dufresne Furniture and Appliances is currently seeking a Warehouse & Transportation Handler for our Swift Current store located at 145 2nd Avenue NW.
As a Warehouse & Transportation Handler you will work as part of a team to provide exceptional delivery service to our guests. You will also provide support with warehousing pick‑ups movement of goods and merchandise customer service and visual merchandising.

As the Warehouse & Transportation Handler you will :
- Deliver product to the guests home and assemble product when required.
- Safely and efficiently drive the scheduled route while keeping scheduling and providing exceptional customer service.
- Conduct all activities safely and courteously with every effort to minimize damage to the product and the guests homes.
- Receive product product returns accessories supplies and prepares outbound shipments.
- Prepare product for delivery or floor placement.
- Maintain and provide accurate inventory documentation for warehouse and sales floor.
- General store internal maintenance (i.e. light bulbs putty of walls general handy‑person duties garbage cleaning).
- Maintenance and housekeeping of exterior (i.e. grass cutting shoveling cleanliness).
- Understand and follow all safe work practices safety standards and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure accurate completion of delivery work by using delivery tablets and taking required photos.
- Abide by all Federal Provincial and Municipal regulations concerning commercial truck drivers.
- Communicate any issues (mechanical or otherwise) regarding the delivery truck.
As a successful candidate you will have the following :
- High school diploma GED or equivalent skills and experience.
- Valid Class 5 Drivers license held for at least 1 year with a clean Driver Abstract (with air a plus).
- 6 months to 1 year of Delivery Driver experience with heavy / large product preferred.
- Experience with hand tools is an asset.
- Effective written and oral communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Physically fit able to lift and move objects up to 100 pounds.
- Ability to provide a high level of customer service.
- Able to work during retail hours (days evenings weekends and holidays).
- Able to work in extreme temperatures.
- Safety footwear required.
- Criminal Record Check will be required.
