Meet NATE - Warehouse Technician

Purpose of Position:

The Warehouse Technician is a key member of the Maintenance department. Reporting to the Supervisor, Stores, the incumbent is responsible for maintaining aeronautical products, tooling, and consumable stock, along with supporting the fleet with OTP (On Time Performance). Welcome to a brand new, refurbished warehouse equipped with state-of-the-art technology such as Kardex Remstar Vertical Lift Modules at certain bases.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform daily shipping, receiving, inspection, order processing, and stocking of inventory.
  • Prepare and ship parts orders to outlying bases.
  • Coordinate delivery of AOGs (Aircraft On Ground), including customs clearance of AOG parts after hours when required.
  • Issue inventory and assist in monitoring and maintaining inventory levels.
  • Enter data into computer systems for shipments, goods received, work orders, etc.
  • File documents as required.
  • Perform heavy lifting as needed.
  • Follow established policies and procedures, prioritizing safety for yourself, colleagues, and customers.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Must possess a valid driver's license.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Ability to obtain a valid AVOP (Airside Vehicle Operators’ Permit).
  • Eligibility for Restricted Area Pass.
  • Successful completion of Dangerous Goods training.
  • Knowledge of aircraft parts and common hardware is preferred.
  • Basic computer and data entry skills required.
  • Strong work management, attention to detail, and time management skills.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to interact with other departments, employees, and supervisors.
  • Experience in inventory management and purchasing is an asset.
  • Bilingualism in English and French is an asset; required for Montreal.

Training: Extensive training will be provided, including safety, dangerous goods, forklift operation, and Maintenance Information System training.
This is a unionized position. Pay scales are outlined in our collective agreement and are competitive, with increases every 6 months to 1 year and yearly increments. A Technical Premium is paid on top of the base wage for every hour worked.
