About the Role:
Reporting

The Warehouse Technician (General) reports directly to the Senior Materials Manager.

Key Performance Indicators / Duties & Responsibilities
  • Carry out inspection and verification of aircraft parts and components to ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Inspect aircraft parts and components certification paperwork, ensuring compliance with Transport Canada regulations and Avmax policies and procedures.
  • Receive, sort, and stock materials to the location assigned in the ERP system.
  • Report unserviceable parts and components to the Lead Inventory Analyst.
  • Assist in creating and maintaining records on the receipt or distribution of aircraft materials, equipment, merchandise, or supplies.
  • Examine inbound shipments for accuracy and condition, sort the shipments, and communicate with stakeholders to ensure timely receipt of all shipments.
  • Ensure physical inventory counts of aviation parts and equipment match the ERP system records.
  • Maintaining an organized receiving bay and warehouse area by offloading trucks and facilitating distribution activities.
  • Mitigating the risk of loss or damage by packing and handling material appropriately.
  • Providing ongoing support for the Warehouse Team and providing cross-functional daily support with picking, receiving inspection, outbound shipping, and distribution, as required.
  • Providing training and supporting the training needs of other teams.
  • Maintaining warehouse cleanliness and notifying management of any safety concerns.
  • Other tasks as required.
Qualifications
  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent. Aviation-related training and education are considered strong assets.
  • Superior organization skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are required.
Experience
  • Minimum one year of experience in a similar role, preferably in aviation.
  • Experience with a computerized inventory system preferred.
  • Valid Material Handling certificate and/or Forklift training is considered an asset.
