Job summary

Wesdome is seeking a Warehouse Technician at the Eagle River Mine near Wawa, Ontario. You’ll keep site operations running by receiving, storing, tracking and delivering parts and supplies, supporting internal teams and external vendors, and performing parts counter service, shipping and receiving, and inventory control in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires organization, reliability, and a customer service mindset.

Qualifications

• Warehousing experience in a mining or heavy industry is preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a cooperative work approach.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
• Diligent with strong attention to detail.
• Significant computer skills and experience with computerized inventory control systems.
• Experience with SAP is an asset.
• Physically fit and able to perform heavy lifting.
• Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment including forklift and pallet jack.

Responsibilities

• Parts counter and customer service.
• Shipping and receiving, stocking shelves, and inventory cycle counting.
• Offloading trucks.
• Preparing internal and external shipping documents.
• Assembling containers and packing goods for shipment.
• Directing delivery trucks to off-loading areas and assisting drivers.
• Unpacking received goods and storing them properly.
• Recording shipments and receipts per procedures.
• Tracing lost shipments when needed.
• Filling out forms for damaged/returned items and routing accordingly.
• Calling suppliers to coordinate pickup, delivery and inspections.
• Maintaining a clean and safe work environment in the warehouse.
• Operating pallet jack and forklift.
• Other duties as assigned.

The Eagle River Mine site has a tight-knit team where everyone knows each other and there is a strong sense of camaraderie and mutual support. It is a hands‑on, fast paced environment where work feels impactful and you can see the results of your contributions quickly. There are many long-tenured employees and a lot of site pride.

The mine is located a short drive from Wawa, deep in the forest where it is scenic and quiet. It is a real ‘boots on the ground’ setting. Team members reside in a camp environment and typically work on rotations, depending on the position. The camp offers excellent food, a sauna/gym, recreational room and the opportunity to stay connected with family and friends.

About The Opportunity

As a Warehouse Technician, you’ll play a key role in keeping site operations running smoothly by ensuring materials, parts, and supplies are received, stored, tracked, and delivered accurately and efficiently. Working in a fast‑paced warehouse environment, you will support both internal teams and external vendors through parts counter service, shipping and receiving, inventory control, and safe material handling.

You’re comfortable in a busy warehouse environment, confident using inventory systems, and capable of managing multiple tasks while maintaining accuracy.

Position Responsibilities, Accountabilities And Job Duties

• Parts counter and customer service.
• Shipping and receiving of inventory, stocking shelves with inventory, and inventory Cycle counting.
• Offloading trucks.
• Preparing shipping documents, both internal and external.
• Assembling containers and crates, packing goods to be shipped, and attaching packing slips
• Directing delivery trucks to various off‑loading areas around site and helping drivers unload goods as required.
• Unpacking received goods into appropriate storage areas and inspecting and counting items that are received.
• Recording shipped and received goods as per company procedures.
• Tracing lost shipments as needed.
• Filling out forms for damaged and returned items and routing them correctly.
• Calling suppliers and vendors to coordinate pick‑up, delivery, and inspections.
• Maintaining a safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, workstations, and shipping area neat.
• Operating warehouse equipment such as pallet jack and forklift
• Other duties, as assigned.

Qualifications And Experience

• Warehousing experience, preferably in mining environment.
• Excellent interpersonal & communication skills with commitment to a cooperative work environment.
• Self‑motivated, ability to work alone.
• Diligent, attention to detail.
• Significant computer skills, working within a computerized inventory control system.
• Experience with SAP Systems is an asset
• Physically fit and capable of performing tasks that involve heavy lifting.
• Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment, forklift, and narrow aisle truck.
• Valid drivers license in good standing;

Working Conditions / Schedule

Location: Eagle River Mine

Shift / Hours of Work: 12-hour days

Schedule / Rotation: 14 days on, 14 days off

Type of Hire: 6 Month Contract
