Job Summary

The Warehouse Technician is responsible for supporting daily warehouse operations, ensuring the accurate handling of inventory, shipments, and supplies. This role plays a key part in maintaining product integrity, compliance with quality standards, and efficient logistics processes.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assists with inventory control, including receiving, stocking, and maintaining records
  • Create courier labels efficiently and accurately
  • Trace and track shipments to ensure timely delivery
  • Prepares outgoing deliveries using validated packaging to ensure the quality of the medication is maintained throughout the logistics process
  • Verifies and unloads incoming shipments at a warehouse
  • Performs quality inspection when receiving goods, record shortages and reject damaged items
  • Stores or stocks the items in their appropriate places
  • Maintain freezer packs in sufficient quantity and quality to ensure temperature-controlled shipping
  • Operate lift truck or pump truck from shipping and receiving platform to storage area
  • Responsible for managing the returns process
  • Sort, count, identify, verify and track all materials to maintain accurate inventory records
  • Participates in quality assurance activities as directed
  • Performs general housekeeping duties in the warehouse
  • Works with Pharmacy Operations Manager regarding any performance management issues or concerns
  • Assembles, labels and provides supplies as required under specific contracts
  • Performs other duties as assigned
Responsibilities Specific to Warehouse and Dex Staff
  • Willingness to work for extended periods in cold environments (walk-in coolers) while handling and packaging pharmaceutical products
  • Ability to maintain focus, attention to detail, and adherence to GMP or applicable regulatory guidelines, while working in temperature-controlled settings
  • Physical stamina to handle repetitive tasks in cooler conditions, including the use of appropriate PPE
Qualifications
Education & Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in working in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
Language Skills
  • Ability to read, write and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to organization employees
Mathematical Skills
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
Reasoning Ability
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form
Other Skills and Abilities
  • Ability to organize workload for efficient use of time
  • Ability to function independently
  • Employees working in warehouse operations are required to wear and properly use all essential or required personal protective equipment (PPE) as outlined by their department leader and in accordance with the employer’s safety requirements.
