Job Description
The Warehouse Supervisor will be responsible for ensuring the warehouse is well maintained and productivity levels are maximized while providing the highest quality of work. This role will also be responsible for overseeing inventory levels as well as supervising warehouse personnel. The Warehouse Supervisor will perform all duties in a timely and orderly fashion to the best of their abilities and with the utmost due care, integrity and professionalism.
Responsibilities
General Duties:
- Make a personal commitment to consistently provide superior customer service to ECCO’s customers so they will want to do repeat business with ECCO Supply
- Maintain good working relationship with all co-workers and ECCO employees
- Read and comply with ECCO’s Health and Safety Policies and Procedures.
- Read and comply with ECCO’s Human Resources Policies and Procedures
- Assist in the success of ECCO’s Safety Program with suggestions and by setting a good example, also by ensuring that safety is at the forefront of your actions while at work.
Warehouse Supervisor
- Input orders into the system with complete description and quantities specified
- Ensure all orders are processed with a high level of accuracy
- Co-ordinate all out of town shipments and special instruction orders with shipping, ensuring back orders are checked and any special instructions are followed
- Contact customers when back orders are available (time and date of call must be recorded on invoice)
- Pick/ship goods to customers in an efficiently and accurately manner, ensuring their paperwork is complete, as well as check orders daily for any shipping errors
- Keep record of daily deliveries and shipments to reconcile inventory; as well as work with Purchasing department to ensure that product running low is ordered
- Ensure warehouse is organized and appropriately stocked at all times
- Provide regular “toolbox” meetings in conjunction with Branch Manager
- Assist with quotes/pricing of jobs when required by the Branch Manager
- Attend various meetings and organizations that will assist in your personal growth and enhance the image of ECCO Supply
- Participate in a minimum of 20 hours of vendor/industry training a year (vendor training classes, online training, etc.)
- Supervise and train warehouse personnel, establish performance metrics, and monitor performance and progress
- Participate in yearly inventory count
- Present a professional image at all times
- Other duties as deemed necessary by Management

Qualifications
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
- Post-Secondary Education an asset
- Minimum 1-year experience in a warehouse supervisory capacity
- Background in WHMIS
- Forklift certification
- Demonstrated leadership skills
- Highly effective and motivational; employee interaction skills essential
- Hands-on commitment to getting the job done
- Proven ability to direct and coordinate operations
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
