Job summary

CWS Logistics Ltd. in Winnipeg is seeking a Warehouse Coordinator to oversee shipping, receiving and storage operations, ensure regulatory compliance with TDG, WHMIS and safety standards, and supervise warehouse staff.

This role focuses on inventory accuracy, paper flow, scheduling loads with the Transportation group, and maintaining clean, organized facilities while coaching staff on SOPs.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 or recognized educational equivalent.
• Three years experience in receiving, storing and shipping product in a warehouse environment is required.
• Requires Transportation of Dangerous Goods certification, WHMIS certification and forklift operator’s certificate.
• Must have good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work individually as well as in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage the shipping, receiving and storage of products handled by the facility, ensuring optimum use of warehouse space and proper storage per regulations.
• Ensure all shipments and receipts comply with CWS policies and relevant regulations and that documents are accurate and signed.
• Conduct inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies to ensure records match physical inventory.
• Schedule inbound/outbound loads with Transportation group and coordinate trailer loading.
• Inspect outgoing loads against bills of lading and verify correct loading per load pattern.
• Oversee paper flow from floor to administrative staff to ensure timely completion of tasks.
• Attach necessary documentation to outbound loads (bills of lading, placards, signatures).
• Train new staff on SOPs and container management system and supervise warehouse staff.
• Maintain organization and cleanliness of the warehouse, including palletorganization and inventory consolidation.
• Collaborate with Warehouse Manager to coach and discipline staff as required.
• Perform other related duties.

Job description

This position is responsible for coordinating the activities of the warehouse staff and the efficient management of the warehouse including shipping, receiving and storage of products.

Description of Work Performed:

1. Manage the shipping, receiving and storage of products handled by the facility, ensuring optimum use of warehouse space as well as to ensure products are stored in accordance with AWSA and NFC regulations.
2. Responsible to ensure all products are shipped and received in accordance with CWS's shipping and receiving policies and the Transportation of Dangerous Goods Regulations.
3. Ensure all shipping and receiving documentation correctly reflects the actual shipments and/or receipts and is communicated to Customer Service in a timely manner. This includes ensuring all discrepancies and damages are recorded and signed by the appropriate people.
4. perform inventory counts as required by the customer as well as periodic inventory counts to ensure actual inventory matches inventory records.
5. In conjunction with the Transportation group, responsible for the scheduling of incoming and outgoing loads, as well as scheduling trailers for loading.
6. Inspect all outgoing loads and verify the product against the bill of lading to ensure every trader is loaded per its specified load pattern.
7. Responsible to oversee the paper flow from the floor to administrative staff so tasks can be completed in a timely manner.
8. Responsible for ensuring the proper documentation is attached to each outbound load including bills of lading, placards and signatures.
9. Responsible to oversee and train new staff on SOPs and responsibilities related to the efficient operation of the facility including training for the CWS container management system.
10. Responsible for the organization and cleanliness of the warehouse which includes consolidation of customer inventory as well as pallets and other materials for warehouse use.
11. Responsible to work with the Warehouse Manager to coach and discipline warehouse staff as required.
12. Perform other related duties.
