S'more About The Team

Factor Canada is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to join our team at our Distribution Centre. Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, you will lead a team of warehouse associates and leads to ensure seamless day‑to‑day operations. Your focus will be to ensure that all direct and indirect material inventory movements, quantities, and quality are tracked accurately at all times. If you are a hands‑on operator who thrives on detail and organization, obsesses over delivering measurable results, and has a passion for food, this is the perfect opportunity for you!

Lettuce Share What This Role Will Be Responsible For
  • Supervise Warehouse Operations: Direct and oversee warehouse staff in receiving, shipping, and storing goods, ensuring that all SOPs and safety regulations are followed.
  • Manage Inventory Accuracy: Ensure real‑time, accurate inventory records through cycle counts, stock transfers, and inventory reconciliations, addressing discrepancies with root cause analysis.
  • Train Warehouse Staff: Provide training to warehouse personnel on inventory procedures, safety regulations, and systems to maintain high standards of efficiency and accuracy.
  • Coordinate Inventory Movements: Organize the movement of materials within the warehouse and coordinate inventory transfers with other departments like Planning, Production, and Supply Chain.
  • Enforce Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with OH&S acts and warehouse safety regulations, and report hazards or dangers.
  • Support Cross‑functional Collaboration: Liaise with other departments such as Finance, Operations, and Quality to solve problems, enhance inventory metrics, and streamline operations.
  • Monitor Warehouse Performance: Measure and report the effectiveness of warehousing activities, including employee performance, to improve operational efficiency.
  • Optimize Storage and Space Utilization: Organize and maintain inventory storage areas, adhering to storage design principles, and recommend improvements for efficient space utilization.
  • Lead Process Improvements: Support and lead system implementations and warehouse projects to improve overall workflow and inventory accuracy.
  • Investigate Discrepancies: Conduct thorough investigations into inventory variances and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Schedule and Coordinate Material Handling: Plan and execute the movement of materials in and out of the warehouse, coordinating closely with other departments to meet operational needs.
  • Document and Update Records: Maintain accurate data entry in inventory systems (e.g., Microsoft Office, Google Sheets), and ensure all transactions and physical counts are reconciled properly.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Sound a-peeling? Here's what we're looking for:
  • 4+ years inventory, warehousing, manufacturing and/or supply chain experience with a Bachelor's in Engineering, Business or a related field.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and Excel skills.
  • Energy, enthusiasm, and a can‑do attitude. Used to working in a high pressure, fast paced, and constantly changing environment.
  • Drive and self‑motivation. We seek a potential leader who competes to win and has the burning desire to make a meaningful difference in our business and the lives of our employees.
  • An effective collaborator, who empowers and enables others to share ideas, raises awareness, gets buy‑in, and delivers fast and well‑rounded solutions to complex problems.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and assignments, prioritize and meet budget deadlines and achieve objectives.
  • Ability to maintain sensitive and confidential information.
  • Professional certifications and/or licenses with Lean Six Sigma preferred.
  • Availability to work weekend schedules.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Google Suite (Calendar, Gmail, Docs, Sheets), and video conferencing (Hangouts Meet).
