Job summary

Amrize Canada Inc. is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to lead warehouse organization, implement best practices, and provide reporting to the Purchasing Manager and Plant Management Team. The role focuses on driving savings, efficiency, and quality across the local market.

You will negotiate locally with procurement teams, manage stock and KPIs, and ensure safety compliance. Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • Field of study: Purchasing, Logistics, or Planning.
  • Minimum 3 years in purchasing or warehouse management, or 3 years in manufacturing/production/maintenance (3 years with a Bachelor's degree, or 6 years with a High School Diploma).
  • Contractor Safety Management (CSM) knowledge is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the organization of the warehouse by developing and implementing best practices for warehouse management.
  • Provide comprehensive support and reporting for the Purchasing Manager and Plant Management Team.
  • Drive savings, supply efficiency, quality, and process improvements across the local market area.
  • Negotiate local volumes, processes, quality levels, and prices with Category Management and local procurement teams.
  • Ensure KPI tracking, reporting, and attainment of results.
  • Manage stock reconciliation, incoming/outgoing/returned goods, inventory, and quality inspection.
  • Support Contractor Safety Management (CSM) compliance and related processes.
  • Promote safety culture and model leadership, teamwork, and customer focus.

About The Role

Lead the organization of the warehouse by developing and implementing best practices for warehouse management. Provide comprehensive support and reporting for the Purchasing Manager and Plant Management Team.

What You’ll Accomplish
  • Direct business lines towards improved operational discipline in procurement processes.
  • Drive the realization of savings, supply efficiency, quality, and process improvements across the local market area.
  • Negotiate local volumes, processes, quality levels, and prices in close coordination with Category Management and local procurement teams.
  • Secure optimal supply options while minimizing supply chain risks for newly sourced items and agreements.
  • Drive process efficiency and simplification through automation and digital transformation alongside process, development teams.
  • Ensure the implementation, tracking, and reporting of key performance indicators and achieved results.
  • Manage all time-sensitive aspects of warehousing, including stock reconciliation, incoming/outgoing/returned goods, inventory, and quality inspection.
  • Support local businesses with Contractor Safety Management (CSM) compliance, training, and third-party pre-qualification platform processes.
  • Serve as a role model in leadership, teamwork, customer focus, and continuous improvement.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviours.
What We’re Looking For
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent professional experience (High School Diploma/GED required if substituting experience).
  • Field of Study Preferred: Purchasing, Logistics, or Planning.
  • Required Work Experience: At least 3 years in purchasing or warehouse management, or 3 years in a manufacturing, production, or maintenance environment (At least 3 years required with a Bachelor's degree, or at least 6 years required with a High School Diploma/GED).
  • Required Training/Certifications: Contractor Safety Management (CSM) compliance knowledge preferred.
  • Travel Requirements: Low (0 – 10%).
Additional Requirements
  • Experience in a cement or heavy industrial setting is an asset.
  • Demonstrated performance working within cross-functional teams with the drive to deliver capability-building agendas.
  • Ability to understand technical aspects of product lines from a procurement perspective.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English; ability to communicate convincingly at all operational and technical levels.
  • Effective time management, planning, organizational, and superior negotiation skills.
  • Proven ability in data analysis/interpretation, rapid problem identification, sound judgment, and conflict resolution.
  • Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
