Job summary

Imperial Brady Canada in Delta, BC is seeking a Warehouse Specialist to join our Distribution team. You will handle picking, loading trucks, stocking and daily warehouse tasks in a dry climate-controlled onsite environment.

Attention to detail and teamwork are essential as you maintain safety and accuracy in a fast-paced setting. The role requires forklift/MHE operation experience, certification to operate all MHE, and basic computer skills with WMS familiarity.

Qualifications

• Previous warehousing experience required.
• Certified to operate all MHE (Material Handling Equipment).
• Good attention to detail and reliability.
• Proficient reading/writing/speaking English.

Job description

Imperial Brady Canada, leading national distributor, has a job open in Delta, BC. The Warehouse Specialist is a self-motivated team player who will be an active part of our Distribution department in the areas of picking, shipping and stocking.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for but not limited to picking orders and loading trucks.
• Ensure that stock is loaded safely, accurately and efficiently.
• Report any discrepancies to the Lead Hand and/or Warehouse Supervisor.
• Assist with daily warehouse housekeeping tasks.
• Report all product or bin sizing errors to the Inventory Verifier using the Bin Location Report Form.
• Perform daily Pre-Trip Inspections on material handling equipment before being used.
• Successfully complete any material handling courses that are required to be taken.

Qualifications:

• Previous or current experience with Raymond, Crown and/or Jungheinrich forklifts & MHE required.
• Previous warehousing experience required Certified to operate all MHE (Material Handling Equipment).
• Strong attention to detail.
• Computer literate and knowledge of WMS systems an asset.
• Good communication skills required (able to read, write and speak English).
• Self-motivated, dependable and reliable.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to work as a team member.
• Good decision-making skills and ability to work independently.
• Secondary School Graduate or related experience.

Working/Other Conditions:

• Working onsite in a dry climate-controlled warehouse environment.
• Required to wear personal protective equipment - company supplied.
• Minimal to moderate exposure to hazardous conditions, noise, and vibrations conducive to a warehouse environment.
• Repetitive physical activities including but not limited to lifting, bending, pushing and pulling weights up to 23 kg (50lbs) for the duration of the shift.
• Ability to operate Stand-up Material Handling Equipment as required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work extended hours, which may be required from time to time.

This position has a salary of $32.24 per hour.
