Job summary

COMPASS GROUP CANADA is seeking a Warehouse Associate to handle stock, inventory, and shipping administration in a fast-paced facility in London, Ontario. You will receive, stock, pick, pack, and ship goods, while maintaining safety, sanitation, and product quality standards.

The role requires good computer skills and a willingness to work collaboratively in a team. Wage starts at about $20.50 per hour, with final compensation based on experience and internal equity.

Qualifications

• Forklift certification is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Receive and process incoming stock and materials, and manage inventory.
• Pick and fill orders from stock and prepare bills of lading and shipping documents.
• Perform manual and computerized inventory control.
• Maintain internal records and report shortages or damaged goods.
• Route, pack, unpack and ship goods; oversee loading and unloading.
• Operate a motorized pallet jack for packaging and shipping.
• Adhere to health, safety, and sanitation standards; uphold food quality.
• Clean up shifts and maintain organized warehouse spaces.
• Pick and pack in freezer, cooler, and dry environments.
• Perform other warehouse tasks as assigned.

Job description

How you will make an impact:

You will be responsible for performing an array of duties such as receiving and processing incoming stock and materials, picking and filling orders from stock and managing inventory within the warehouse.

As a Warehouse Associate, you will:

• Schedule distribution of goods; prepare bills of lading, invoices & other shipping documents
• Perform manual & computerized inventory control
• Maintain internal record keeping system, record shortages & reject damaged goods
• Route goods to appropriate storage areas, pack goods to be shipped, unpack goods received
• Oversee loading & unloading of goods
• Drive a motorized single pallet to be packaged and shipped
• Integrate well into a culture where Health & Safety is a priority, by complying with safety standards and regulations.
• Help to maintain sanitation and food quality standards.
• Clean up at end of shift (boxes, cardboard, paper)
• Pick and pack products in freezer, cooler, and dry environments
• Perform other warehouse functions as assigned by Supervisor

About you:

• Forklift Operator Certification is an asset
• Must have computer skills and be proficient in Microsoft Office

The hourly wage rate for this position is $20.50. Final compensation will be determined based on relevant skills, experience, qualifications, and internal equity.
