Description

We have an immediate opening for a dock worker at our St. John's, Newfoundland Terminal.

  • Must have forklift experience
  • Order picking experience is an asset
  • Physical Labour is a requirement
Full time Day Shifts (Monday - Friday 8am-5pm)
Job Entails
  • Forklift operations, to handle the freight/ pallets with care for receiving, storage & shipping.
  • Work with heavy items & be able to lift upto 50 lbs.
  • Technology friendly, to use RF scanners, WMS system & Microsoft office when needed (Training will be provided).
  • Attention to details is utmost important while picking orders for customer based on their requirements.
  • Handling multiple SKUs & customer orders at times for Inbound/ outbound loads.
  • Working closely with Logistics Coordinator & Warehouse Supervisor to meet customer demands and everyday challenges.

What We Need From You
  • A Willingness to Work! Dependability & a Good Attitude are key
  • Reliable Transportation – must be living in the area
  • Valid license & previous work experience operating Single-Pallet Walkie
  • Experience Order Picking with a voice-activated headset is an asset
  • Ability to use scanners, paperwork where required
  • Ability to work Safely in a fast-paced team environment
  • Ability to complete online safety courses as required
  • Physically demanding, heavy lifting is a requirement
  • Ability to work in warehouse conditions: possible high noise levels, warm or cold environment dependent on weather
  • Safety boots/shoes
  • Clean criminal background
