Job summary

The Home Depot is seeking candidates for a warehouse distribution center role in Mississauga. You will perform a variety of tasks including receiving, unloading, palletizing, picking, packing, and lifting up to 50 pounds, while following SOPs and safety guidelines.

You will work with Operations Managers and store teams to ensure timely completion of tasks, maintaining a clean and organized work area. Prior distribution center experience is an asset and forklift knowledge is helpful.

Qualifications

• High school Diploma or Equivalent is required.
• 1 to 2 years of distribution centre experience an asset.
• Knowledge of operating forklifts is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate various types of material handling equipment (i.e., Walkie Rider, Forklift, MHE, Reach, Center Rider) to complete tasks such as loading, unloading, sorting, staging and transporting product.
• Work collaboratively with the Operations Managers, area coordinators and other associates to effectively complete assigned tasks.
• Deliver outstanding customer service to internal distribution teams and to our stores by maintaining attention to detail and completing assigned work in a timely manner.
• Maintain orderly condition and housekeeping of your assigned work area.
