Job summary

The Logistics Coordinator I at Ryder is responsible for maintaining and balancing the inbound/outbound process within the Warehouse Management System (WMS) to meet daily production needs, and to communicate with carriers and other departments.

You will support warehouse operations, create daily dock schedules, coordinate with customers and contractors, and may provide after-hours coverage. This role requires attention to detail and reliable decision-making.

Qualifications

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrates customer service skills.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure all forms used for day-to-day operations are filled out completely and accurately.
  • Create/maintain daily dock schedules; communicate with carriers about appointments and load statuses.
  • Interact with customers and contractors—answer questions about shipment times, product cuts, loads not picked up by carrier.
  • Make quick, reliable decisions that represent both the customer and Ryder.
  • Perform basic administrative tasks.
  • May be required to support the client after hours, such as nights, weekends and/or holidays via cell phone rotation and remote equipment.
  • Process Small Package in Warehouse Management System.

About the Job

Type: Full time/Temporary (6 Month Contract)

Wage: $25.97 + $1.25 Shift Differential

Shifts: Monday - Thursday 7:30pm - 6:00am

Summary

TheLogistics Coordinator I is responsible for maintaining and balancing the inbound/ outbound process of the Warehouse Management System (WMS) to insure daily production needs are met, providing timely communications to other departments and leadership personnel, and supporting all other warehouse operation functions and personnel as assigned.

Essential Functions
  • Responsible for ensuring any and all necessary forms used for the day-to-day operations are filled out completely and accurately
  • Create/maintain daily dock schedules. Communicate with carriers regarding setting appointments and updating load statuses.
  • Interacts with customer and contractors - answering questions regarding shipment times, product cuts, loads not picked up by the carrier.
  • Ability to make quick, reliable decisions that represent both the customer and Ryder
  • Performs basic administrative tasks
  • The Logistic Coordinator I may be required to support the client after hours, such as nights, weekends and/or holidays via cell phone rotation and remote equipment
  • Processes Small Package in Warehouse Management System
Additional Responsibilities
  • Prepare and process all customs documents for international and USA shipments.Coordinate and monitor logistics of the movement of parts, supplies and materials within an establishment and ensure supplies, materials and products are shipped and received on schedule.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • One (1) year or more clerical or warehouse experience required
