The Society of Saint Vincent de Paul Vancouver Island is seeking a Warehouse Lead to oversee daily thrift warehouse operations. You will coordinate donation flow, sorting, and transportation while guiding volunteers and staff to meet quality standards.

A key duty is operating a cargo van for pickups and transfers across donor locations, stores, and the warehouse. Ideal candidates bring warehouse or thrift environments experience, strong organizational skills, and comfort with physical work.

Qualifications

• Experience in a warehouse, thrift, donation-based, or logistics setting.
• Experience working with or supporting volunteers is an asset.
• Strong organizational and teamwork skills.
• Ability to give clear, practical direction in a busy environment.
• Comfortable with physical work, lifting, and material handling.
• Basic computer literacy for communication and record keeping.

Responsabilités

• Coordinate daily warehouse activities to support thrift store needs and donation flow.
• Provide day‑to‑day guidance and on‑the‑floor support to staff and volunteers.
• Ensure safe handling, sorting, and movement of donated goods.
• Oversee inventory flow between the warehouse and thrift store locations.
• Operate a cargo van for donation pickups, deliveries, and transfers.
• Load/unload and secure donated goods using appropriate equipment.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
• Assist with staff and volunteer onboarding and informal training.
• Report safety concerns and participate in meetings as required.
