Job summary

Chandos Construction is seeking an Equipment Warehouse Labourer / Driver to support our Tool and Equipment Yard and project sites. You will assist with cleaning, organizing, and delivering tools and small equipment, ensuring orders are accurate and items are in good condition.

Responsibilities include loading/unloading, inspections, and maintaining a safe, orderly warehouse environment. A valid Class 5 license and ability to lift heavy objects are required.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 5 driver's license and clean abstract.
• Experience operating larger vehicles and securing loads.
• Knowledge of workplace safety, and safe lifting and handling procedures.
• Able to operate required trucks and equipment in a safe and responsible manner.

Responsibilities

• Load, unload and identify tools and equipment and distribute them within the warehouse.
• Pick orders and fulfill tool requests from forms or calls.
• Perform inspections of outgoing and incoming equipment.
• Maintain warehouse and yard housekeeping and organization.

Job Description

The Equipment Warehouse Labourer /Driver is required to perform tasks involving physical labour at our area Tool and Equipment Yard and commercial construction projects. The Equipment Warehouse labourer / Driver is required to assist with Cleaning tools and equipment, maintaining an organized warehouse and yard, and delivery of tools, material and small equipment to Chandos Construction Job sites.

• Knowledge and use of tools, equipment and materials such as jack hammers, drills, pumps, compressors, and power tools
• Pick orders as required through Tool Request Forms, or walk-in and phone-in requests
• Load, unload and identify tools and equipment and distribute them to the appropriate locations within the warehouse
• Complete outgoing and incoming inspections of equipment
• Responsible for general housekeeping in the warehouse, storage yard and external yard/shop

Qualifications

• Valid Class 5 Drivers License and clean drivers abstract is required
• Experience in operation of larger vehicles and securing loads is an asset
• Knowledge of workplace safety, and safe lifting and handling procedures
• Knowledge of safe operation of basic hand and power tools
• Familiar with driving in the city
• Able to operate required trucks and equipment in a safe and responsible manner
• Requires ability to climb ladders and lift heavy objects

Compensation Transparency

Expected hourly rate: $20-$23

The base salary range for this role is listed above and may vary based on your experience. This position also includes a competitive bonus program. Throughout the interview process, we’ll discuss your background to determine the best alignment for your experience level.
