Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a Forklift Operator - Reach & Sit Down in Edmonton for a contract-to-hire role. You will operate sit-down and reach forklifts to unload and load containers, verify shipments, and maintain accurate inventory while collaborating with drivers and warehouse teams.

Safety and paperwork accuracy are essential. The position offers on-site work in a busy warehouse with a focus on efficiency, accuracy, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Experience operating sit-down forklifts.
• Experience operating reach forklifts in a warehouse.
• Shipping/receiving experience with BOLs and POs.

Responsibilities

• Operate a sit-down forklift to unload/load containers of industrial supplies.
• Use reach forklifts to move, stage, and store inventory safely.
• Receive and verify shipments against bills of lading and purchase orders.
• Process shipping documentation (BOLs, POs) and support cross-border docs.
• Read tickets, heat tracing numbers, and serials for correct inventory placement.
• Communicate with drivers and warehouse staff to resolve discrepancies.
• Help with cleaning and organization during slower periods.
• Collaborate with pickers, QC, packers, and supervisors to ensure efficient workflow.
• Follow safety procedures and equipment guidelines.
