Job description

We are mandated to hire a general worker for a major client with the largest and most competitive metal surface treatment facilities in Quebec, providing plating processes to the automotive, aerospace, electronics, military and commercial sectors.

Responsibilities

• General workers work on the shop floor and perform the tasks listed below:
  • Rack and unrack parts
  • Count and verify number of parts as indicated on the work order to ensure that the proper number of parts are produced
  • Fill-in and complete process sheets
  • Dry parts
  • Prepare parts prior to plating or painting, when required
  • Ensure work area is kept clean and maintained at all times
  • Participate in regular training sessions to ensure they can work in other areas
  • Ensure environmental norms, standards and procedures are followed at all times through verification with Lab Technician, when required
  • Perform inspection of parts, both prior to and upon completion of process, and inform supervisor of any issues with quality
  • Ensure familiarity with various odors associated with processes and immediately inform supervisor of any irregular odors
  • Inspect and pack parts for delivery once processes have been completed
  • Perform other duties as required
