Job summary

Franklin Empire Inc. is hiring a Warehouse Clerk for our Ottawa branch to perform receiving, shipping, and warehouse maintenance duties. You will enter data, verify orders, and prepare items for delivery while safely operating forklifts and related equipment.

This role involves inspecting received goods, stocking shelves, and assisting customers at the counter when needed. We offer a complete insurance program and a pension plan as part of our employee benefits.

Qualifications

• Previous warehouse experience is preferred.
• Ability to operate forklifts and pallet movers safely.
• Strong data entry and accuracy in order processing.
• Attention to detail in receiving, stocking and packing orders.
• Ability to work under supervision and meet daily shipping/receiving targets.

Responsibilities

• Perform the receipt of the orders.
• Review orders before and after delivery to ensure completeness and customer satisfaction.
• Inspect items received and verify against delivery documents.
• Enter data into the system and identify stock vs customer-specific items.
• Store products on warehouse shelves and at the counter.
• Operate forklifts, hand pallet truck, and related equipment safely.
• Select and prepare items from purchase orders.
• Verify and pack orders before shipping.
• Prepare delivery documents and coordinate carrier pickup.
• Assist at counter pick-up if needed and maintain warehouse cleanliness.
• Ensure maintenance of the warehouse at all times and restock as required.

Job description: Warehouse Clerk

Franklin Empire Inc. supplies electrical components for new construction, renovation and maintenance of industrial plants, residences and commercial buildings. We provide OEM and MRO solutions (maintenance, repair and operation), lighting design, inventory management, training, commercial, residential applications or expertise, and specialized services.

We are presently in search of a Warehouse Clerk for our Ottawa branch.

Under the supervision of the manager and / or supervisor of the warehouse, the warehouse clerk has to perform tasks related to receiving, shipping, maintenance warehouse and merchandising products.

• Perform the receipt of the orders;
• Review orders before and after deliver to ensure that orders are complete, the charges are correct and the customer is satisfied
• Inspect and verify items received in accordance with the delivery documents and the condition of the material received;
• Enter data into the system;
• Identify products received for stock and products specifically received for customers;
• Store products on the shelves located in the warehouse and at the counter;
• Operate safely the necessary equipment for product handling (forklifts, hand pallet truck, carriage, wire rod, plastic cutter, etc.)
• Select and prepare the items from a purchase order;
• Verify and Pack orders before shipping;
• Prepare the delivery process (documents, call the carrier and loading);
• Assist the attendant at the counter pick-up (if needed);
• Ensure maintenance of the warehouse at all times;
• Keep shelves clean and do the restocking.
