Job summary

Qualifications

• Clear communication in English with coworkers and supervisors, understanding cleaning and safety instructions.
• Ability to read and follow cleaning procedures and safety rules.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills to complete tasks efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Clean and restock washrooms, and clean offices, shared spaces, and the customer service area.
• Sweep and mop floors, clean windows and glass, and wipe down surfaces and fixtures.
• Empty garbage and recycling bins, replace liners, and keep disposal areas tidy.
• Clean mattresses according to Encore’s procedures and prepare them for resale through the auction.
• Keep building entrances clean and presentable.
• Set out and serve coffee and donuts to staff on Fridays, and clean up afterward.
• Monitor assigned areas throughout the day and address spills, messes, and other cleaning needs promptly.
• Use cleaning products and equipment safely and report hazards, damage, or supply shortages to the Warehouse Manager.
• Assist with other cleaning and warehouse support duties as assigned.
• Assist with cleaning up messes made by animals in the dog-friendly office.
