Job description

Columbia Sportswear Canada LP is seeking a positive, hard‑working, reliable Warehouse Associate for a short‑term contract position running from now through November.

Hours & Compensation

• Full‑time hours (40 hours per week)
• Day shift: Monday – Friday 7am‑3:30pm – hourly wage $19/h
• Afternoon shift: Monday – Friday 1pm‑9:30pm – hourly wage $19/h plus $1/h premium for hours worked on the afternoon shift (afternoon shift starts July27)

Responsibilities

• Receive and ship products to customers
• Proper placement of cartons in correct storage locations
• Pull assigned cartons and place them on correct conveyors and sorting mechanisms
• Make labels, attach them to goods, load, pick appropriate boxes, pack and unpack goods
• Verify accuracy of packing, seal cartons, and load cartons on trailers for shipment
• Operate equipment to load, unload, and move materials and products
• Operate computerized inventory control systems
• Maintain positive open lines of communication with management, staff, and other departments to contribute to smooth flow of information and efficient operation of the organization
• Maintain accuracy and attention to detail while using the Warehouse Management System (WMS) to ensure accountabilities for all units

Qualifications

• Ability to perform physically demanding work, including standing for extended periods, repetitive arm/shoulder movements, repetitive lifting/carrying of up to 40pounds for the duration of the shift, and crouching, bending, and twisting
• Basic computer skills or ability to be trained on the computer
• Energetic, reliable, self‑motivated team player with exemplary attendance
• Excellent organizational skills, accuracy, and the ability to deal with constant change
