Join us as a Warehouse Associate
Your main responsibilities

The Truck Driver/Warehouse Specialist is responsible for ensuring effective distribution of material and parts in support of the District/Branch operations.

  • Drive vehicle in order to transport materials to and from specified destinations
  • Coordinate deliveries of tools and material to job sites
  • Coordinate pick‑up of tools and material from vendors
  • Determine the most practical and time‑efficient route while avoiding truck‑restricted routes
  • Locate new delivery locations in new areas
  • Load and unload freight
  • Inspect and maintain vehicle supplies and equipment, such as gas, oil, water, tires, lights, and brakes in order to ensure that vehicles are in proper working condition, and in accordance with Schindler’s Fleet Policy
  • Maintain accurate records and logs
  • Organize and maintain warehouse including housekeeping
  • Handling and storage of material including shipping and receiving
  • Maintaining consumables and management of recycled material
What you bring
  • High School Education
  • Fork Lift Operators License
  • License to operate truck in accordance with provincial requirements
  • Communication: Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Organization: Possess excellent organization skills with the ability to balance high volume of activities and changing priorities
  • Problem Solving: Information seeking and achievement orientation, ability to solve problems both independently and collaboratively
  • Teamwork: Ability to interact with all levels and foster a teamwork relationship
