Job summary

A leading consulting firm in Toronto is looking for a skilled Warehouse Associate to join their team. You will be pivotal in ensuring successful warehouse operations by handling shipments, managing inventory, and collaborating with logistics teams. Candidates should have experience with chemicals and dangerous goods, excellent communication skills, and prior forklift operation experience. A high school diploma is necessary, and a forklift license would be an asset.

Qualifications

  • Previous forklift experience required.
  • Forklift license is an asset.
  • WHIMIS and Safety Training experience is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare order for shipment; ensure accuracy.
  • Oversee freight handling and secure loads safely.
  • Manage inventory of shipping materials and supplies.

The Opportunity

They are ensuring the success of the Warehouse team by adding a skilled Warehouse Associate. They have a strong culture of team and value their employees.

Position Description

Day-to-day, you will work closely with the logistics and order teams. This is primarily a warehouse shipping / receiving role, with Linde reach trucks on site.

Experience
  • Experience dealing with chemicals / dangerous goods (GHS / TDG)
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (specifically Excel)
  • Experience with Sage X3, or similar ERP system an asset
  • Ability to lift heavy objects (50kg) required
  • Prepare order for shipment, ensure that the exact number and type of product is loaded and shipped
  • Oversee freight handling and secure loads in accordance with established safety requirements
  • Tag, mark, or label stock items and ensure they are placed in correct storage location
  • Manage inventory of shipping materials and supplies
  • Report any discrepancies in inventory to management
  • Maintain organized work area according to policies, procedures, and safety regulations
  • Previous experience safely operating lift trucks required (Linde trucks on site)
  • Excellent communication, time management and task delegation skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment, oversee tasks and ensure deliverables are met
