Job summary

Delta Intelligent Building Technologies (Canada) Inc. in Surrey, BC, is hiring for a full-time, on-site Warehouse Associate to support shipping and receiving operations.

You will pick, stage and deliver materials, maintain accurate inventory, and operate a Vertical Lifting Module, ensuring safety and data accuracy across systems. Qualifications

  • 1 to 3 years Shipping/Receiving or warehouse experience.
  • Proficiency with Word, Excel and Project.
  • Experience with MRP or ERP software.
  • High school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

  • Pick, stage and deliver materials to production areas per work orders.
  • Manage inventory via cycle counts.
  • Mark reels, cartons with identifying information.
  • Ensure safe handling and PPE usage.
  • Update internal systems with inventory movements.
  • Operate Vertical Lifting Module (VLM) and fulfill delivery notes.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Work Location: Monday to Friday Onsite
City: Surrey
Type: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: $19.20 per hour

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Pick, stage and deliver materials based on upcoming work orders to production areas as required.
  • Manage inventory through cycle counting of all materials.
  • Mark reels, cartons or other containers with identifying information if and when required.
  • Utilize personal protective equipment as necessary to ensure a safe working environment and safe handling and movement of materials to protect from damage.
  • Maintain inventory by identifying, labeling, and placing materials and supplies in stock and recording location of inventory.
  • Maintain in-process inventory at work centers by delivering and opening materials and supplies.
  • Update internal systems with the movement of materials by transferring items to various inventory sites as needed.
  • Receive return materials from production by verifying material, part number, quantity and lot number prior to placing materials in stock.
  • Follow written or oral instructions/priorities regarding daily tasks and job duties.
  • Ensure all electronic and physical movement of product is accounted for in an appropriate manner and data is available in real-time.
  • Operation of a VLM (Vertical Lifting Module) daily. Operator will pick orders based on Delivery Notes and customer requirements. Operator will also put-away stock in the machine as required.
  • All other duties as assigned.
Required or Strongly Preferred Skills and Abilities
  • Exceptional attention to detail supported by timely transactions.
  • Excellent organizational, problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent time management skills and technical skills.
  • Data entry experience would be an asset
  • Advocate of continuous improvement and striving to improve efficiency and productivity.
  • Must be a self-starter and be able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment with many competing priorities and deadlines.
  • Team player.
  • Good communications skills, oral and written.
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs. repeatedly.
Preferred Qualifications and Experience
  • 1 to 3 years Shipping/Receiving or general warehouse experience.
  • Proficiency with standard Microsoft tools (Word, Excel, Project).
  • Experience with MRP or ERP related software.
  • High school diploma or equivalent GED.
