A local event venue in Alberta is seeking a reliable Warehouse Associate to support its Food & Beverage team. This casual, event-based position involves effective inventory management and requires strong communication skills, a valid Class 5 Driver's License, and the ability to adapt to fast-paced environments. Hourly pay ranges from $16.32 to $19.00 depending on experience. Flexible hours are based on event schedules.
The Warehouse Associate is an important member of the Westerner Park Food & Beverage Team, supporting operations through effective inventory management, organization, and coordination. This casual, event-based position offers flexible hours that vary depending on event schedules and operational needs. The ideal candidate is reliable, detail-oriented, and enjoys working in a fast-paced, team-focused environment.
Under the direction of the Procurement Coordinator and Warehouse Supervisor, the Warehouse Associate will:
Collaborate with the Food & Beverage team to determine product needs and maintain stock levels.
Monitor inventory as supplies are transferred between locations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
Perform weekly and monthly inventory counts; record and reconcile totals against inventory records.
Prepare concession, bar, and suite locations with the correct product quantities based on par sheets, and report opening counts to the Concession & Bar Event Coordinator.
Ensure product freshness and monitor expiry dates.
Coordinate with staff to ensure proper stock rotation and accurate waste tracking.
Receive and verify shipments, record discrepancies, and maintain accurate inventory documentation.
Manage internal requisitions and deliver stock replenishments as required.
Maintain a clean, organized, and secure warehouse, ensuring alcohol and perishable products are properly stored.
Assist with the setup of temporary concession stands and equipment movement for events.
Support front-line operations during busy events, including assisting at tills or in food preparation if needed.
Safely operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, gators, and company vans.
Ensure all health, safety, and sanitation standards are maintained.
Respond professionally to radio and phone communication.
Perform general housekeeping and other duties as assigned.

Must meet legal requirements to handle and distribute alcohol.
Valid Class 5 Driver’s License.
Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
Excellent time management, organization, and multitasking abilities.
Knowledge of safe lifting techniques and warehouse safety practices.
Understanding of food handling, storage, and sanitization procedures.
Ability to work evenings, weekends, and variable shifts as required by event volume.
Assets: Forklift certification, First Aid certification, Food Safe certificate, and experience in inventory control or warehouse operations.
Frequent walking, standing, kneeling, climbing, pushing, and lifting (up to 75 lbs).
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team setting.
Must be adaptable to a fast-paced environment with changing event demands, including evenings and weekends.
