Job summary

PGW Auto Glass is seeking a dedicated Warehouse Associate in Canada to support general labor, warehouse maintenance, and safe loading/unloading of parts using pallet jacks and forklifts. You will ensure accurate stock handling and top-tier customer service for internal and external customers.

The role emphasizes following instructions, participating in inventories, and maintaining a safe, clean work area while contributing to all operational processes and policies.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED equivalency required.
• Knowledge of forklift operation and ability to lift up to 75 pounds frequently.
• Experience in warehouse/distribution center.
• Basic math and reading skills for paperwork.
• Ability to follow oral or written instructions.
• Positive, helpful demeanor and commitment to customer service.

Responsibilities

• Load, unload, pick, put away, consolidate, stack and stage products using forklift, pallet jack, or other power equipment.
• Follow work instructions and best practices to safely complete daily tasks.
• Record receipts on appropriate forms.
• Support operational processes and PGW policies and regulations.
• Assist with inventories and cycle counts with stock rotation.
• Inspect pallets/cases for quantities and expiration dates as applicable.
• Communicate problems and ideas to management and suggest improvements.
• Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area.
• Contribute to warehouse security and safety.
• Participate in training programs and adhere to guidelines.
• Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers.
• Assist in various warehouse maintenance tasks.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

As a part of our growth, PGW Auto Glass, a leader in the Auto Glass industry with over 100 years' experience, is looking for a dedicated and passionate Warehouse Associate. PGW has over 100 warehouses throughout the United States and Canada. As a Warehouse Associate you will be responsible for general labor, warehouse maintenance, safely loading, and unloading of parts with the use of a pallet jack, hand truck, or forklift and picker. The Warehouse Associate will also be responsible for maintaining excellent customer service to internal and external customers always. Essential Job Duties

• Load, unload, pick, put away, consolidate, stack and stage products and materials using a forklift, pallet jack, or other power equipment.
• Follow specific work instructions and best practices to safely and accurately complete daily work assignments
• Record receipts to appropriate forms
• Support all operational processes and procedures to ensure value to the customer and compliance with all PGW policies, customer requirements and federal/state/local regulations
• Assists with physical inventories and cycle counts, ensuring proper stock rotation
• Inspect each pallet and or case for proper quantities, items, and expiration date (as applicable) damages and follow any special instructions on Work Assignment Form and /or additional documentation
• Communicate problems, concerns, and ideas to management. Identify process improvements.
• Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area.
• Assist in maintaining the security of the warehouse. Conduct operations in a manner that promotes safety.
• Participate in all assigned training programs and adhere to all guidelines
• Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers.
• Assist in various warehouse maintenance tasks, including sweeping floors, storing equipment, etc.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED equivalent required.
• Knowledge of and ability to operate a forklift and meet medium-level physical exertion requirements, including lifting up to 75 pounds frequently.
• Experience in warehouse/distribution center.
• Basic math and reading skills to perform job tasks and complete necessary paperwork.
• Ability to follow oral and/or written instructions.
