Job Description

TheMorning Warehouse Workerposition is a physical, fast-paced, and labor-intensive role within a warehouse environment that involves sorting/stocking packages as well as loading and unloading them into and out of UPS package delivery vehicles and trailers.

Job Type:Part-Time Permanent

Work Location:3225 East Bay Shore Rd. Owen Sound

Workdays:Monday to Friday(Must be available to work all 5 days)

Shift Hours:5 AM to 8:30 AM *(Flexibility with start and finish times required based on operational needs) *

Shift Duration:3-5 hours per day

Hourly Wage: $18.50

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Load and unload packages into package delivery vehicles and trailers

·Learn and properly execute company-established package handling methods

• Sort and stock packages based on postal code

REQUIREMENTS

·Ability to lift up to 70 lbs. unassisted. Typical package weight ranges from 25-35 lbs.

• Full availability to work Monday through Friday (all five days of the week)
• Must be able to work 25 hours per week
• Ability to read and memorize postal codes
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment
• Comfortable working inside truck trailers and package delivery vehicles
• No prior warehouse experience required

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

• $18/hr.and automatic progression as per the existing Union Collective Agreement to $31.49per hour after 48 months of service

·Tuition reimbursement up to $2,000 per semester (subject to eligibility, program approval, and satisfactory academic performance)

EXPENSES/WORKING CONDITIONS

• Monthly union dues (approximately $52/month)
• A union initiation fee of $50 (will be deducted after completing 90 working days with UPS)
