Job summary

Grimco is seeking a Warehouse Associate to join our Calgary branch at 6810 6th Street SE, Unit F, Calgary, AB T2H 2K4. Shift: 8:30am–5:00pm, Monday–Friday. You will support shipping, receiving, and inventory control while using ERP software and a forklift.

Ideal candidates have warehouse or shipping/receiving experience; ERP familiarity and forklift/Order Picker certifications are a plus. We value reliability, teamwork, and safety.

Qualifications

• Previous warehouse/shipping/receiving/general labour experience.
• Experience with ERP systems.
• Forklift and Order Picker certifications are an asset; training can be provided.
• Fluent French or other languages is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Pick and pack orders of sign supplies for shipping to customers.
• Load and unload delivery trucks by hand and with a forklift.
• Operate forklift and order picker.
• Ship and receive orders using shipping software.
• Receive and examine incoming material for discrepancies/damages.
• Stock inventory when replenishment shipments arrive.
• Enter shipping and receiving data into ERP system.
• Use ERP to track orders and assist team members and customers.
• Assist couriers with manifest information and improve delivery efficiency.
• Perform cycle counts of inventory.
• Perform other duties (cleaning, maintenance, etc.).

This position is located at our branch located 6810 6th Street SE, Unit F, Calgary, AB T2H 2K4, with the hours of 8:30am-5:00pm.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES

• Pick and pick orders of sign supplies in preparation for shipping to customers.
• Load and unload delivery trucks both by hand and using a forklift.
• Operate forklift and order picker.
• Ship and receive orders using appropriate shipping software.
• Receive and examine incoming material for discrepancies/damages.
• Stock inventory when replenishment shipments come in.
• Accurately enter shipping and receiving data into ERP system.
• Use ERP system to track orders and answer questions for team members and customers.
• Assist couriers and delivery drivers with manifest information and work to maximize delivery efficiency.
• Perform accurate cycle counts of inventory.
• Perform other duties as assigned (cleaning/sweeping warehouse, maintenance, special projects, etc.).

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Previous warehouse/shipping/receiving/general labour experience.
• Previous experience with ERP systems.
• Current Forklift and Order Picker certifications considered an asset. Training can be provided.
• Advanced/fluent skill levels of French or other languages are always a plus.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Requires the ability to lift, push, pull and carry tools and warehouse materials weighing 70+ pounds on a frequent basis.
• Requires prolonged standing or walking, frequent bending, stooping, and reaching daily.
• Requires the ability to climb ladders to pick or put away products.
• Requires a full range of physical motion to operate manual and electrically powered tools and machines (i.e., forklift)
