What you’ll be working on

Accountable for the overall management and oversight of the day‑to‑day production workflow of the assigned area within the warehouse processing centre. The Area Supervisor is guided by the Savers Vision and Core Values, and reports to the Operations Manager, Warehouse.

Essential Job Functions
  • Supervise production workflow, efficiencies, standards, and pace in assigned production areas to ensure sellable items are processed and targets are met.
  • Conduct quality‑control checks for sorting, grading, pricing, condition, and merchandise utilisation; course‑correct as required.
  • Analyse performance gaps, identify root causes, and apply learnings to improve results.
  • Operate hands‑on inside sorting, grading, pricing and tagging, role‑modeling proper techniques and pace of work.
  • Collaborate with Operations Manager to maintain consistent flow of products throughout the processing system.
  • Communicate merchandise supply requirements and quality issues to the Operations Manager.
  • Leverage the Savers recycling program to reduce landfill use and increase reuse of unsaleable items.
  • Report non‑working machinery/equipment to Operations Manager.
  • Set operating plan targets, assign work, track progress, and provide recognition and feedback on performance.
  • Assist in developing high‑potential staff for future management roles through on‑the‑job guidance.
  • Maintain a respectful, values‑driven workplace and adhere to all Savers’ policies and procedures.
  • May act as Operations Manager in charge when required.
  • Maintain a safe work environment, support JHSC initiatives, and promote loss‑prevention awareness.
  • Communicate safety and loss‑prevention issues to Operations Manager.

Minimum Required Education & Experience
  • High School diploma (Post‑secondary degree/diploma preferred).
  • Experience in sales‑floor supervision, retail management or industrial management.
