Job summary

Canadian Red Cross in Prince George, BC, seeks a Warehouse and Maintenance Technician for in-person, casual work. You will inspect and repair equipment, document maintenance records, and transport gear to client homes and HELP sites.

The role requires basic tools knowledge, a BC Class 5 license, and the ability to lift up to 80 lbs. Fluency in English and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent.
• Basic knowledge working with hand and basic power tools.
• A valid BC Class 5 Driver's License.
• Able to lift and carry up to 80lbs.
• Strong verbal communication skills; client service skills; and ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Experience working with volunteers and diverse populations is considered an asset.
• Commercial driving and delivery experience is considered an asset.
• Fluency in English is required.

Working conditions:

• Monday to Friday. Work varies from warehouse to other HELP sites, client homes and Assisted Living facilities.
• Ability to sit and stand for extended periods and safely operate a vehicle for deliveries, which can be up to 75% of the day.
• A valid BC Class 5 Driver's License.
• May be required to work out of other HELP locations.
