The Opportunity

Reporting to the Manager of Inpatient Surgical Care & Child Life Services, the Ward Clerk performs reception and clerical duties essential for unit operations. Responsibilities include data entry, database management, supply ordering, patient admissions, appointment scheduling, transport functions, filing, photocopying, faxing, phone answering, and communication with staff.

Hours of Work
Your Qualifications

• Minimum Grade 12 Diploma or GED required.
• Office Administration program completion preferred.
• Experience in an office or clinical environment.
• Patient registration experience preferred.
• Accurate keyboarding and data entry skills.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word.
• Meditech experience is an asset.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Initiative and ability to work independently.
• Spreadsheet skills (Excel/Access) preferred.
• Ability to multitask and work within a team.
• Knowledge of medical terminology is an asset.
• Multilingual abilities, especially French, are assets.
