Summary

Wapiti Gravel Suppliers, a division of NPA Ltd. is looking for an enthusiastic, APPRENTICE WELDER (3rd, or 4th year) to work full-time in our Grande Prairie location.

Key Responsibilities

• Understanding of welding tools and equipment
• Ability to learn and apply knowledge of safety procedures, basic welding techniques (MIG, TIG, Stick), and blueprint reading
• Ability to learn and apply knowledge of advanced welding techniques, metallurgy, and welding symbols
• Ability to learn and apply knowledge of welding fabrication, repair processes, and non-destructive testing methods
• Ability to learn and apply knowledge of complex welding procedures and project management skills
• Ability to work safely and efficiently
• Other duties as required

Qualifications And Requirements

• 3rd or 4th year apprentice welder
• 2 years of prior working experience is an asset
• Physically able to repetitively lift and carry at least 50 LBS on a regular basis
• Knowledge of various types of construction equipment is an asset
• Prior experience working within a paving company is a definite asset
• Must comply with Drug and Alcohol testing requirements
• Ability to work overtime as required
