Currently seeking a VP of Clinical to oversee four skilled nursing facilities in the Central New Jersey area

Qualifications
  • Must have New Jersey RN license
  • Prior experience as a Regional Nurse overseeing multiple skilled nursing facilities, strongly preferred
  • Must have 5+ years of experience as a Director of Nursing in long term care
  • Must have current long term care/nursing home experience
  • Must be willing to travel
  • Strong clinical background and knowledge
  • Must be knowledgeable in all current regulations and compliance
  • Must be able to implement policies and procedures
Responsibilities
  • The VP of Clinical routinely consults with assigned facilities in regards to (but not limited to): resident care, State and Federal surveys, regulatory compliance, and clinical services
  • They will be responsible for driving clinical outcomes, implementing clinical policies/procedures and ensuring and compliance with State/Federal regulations and standards of care
  • Assess & evaluate clinical services in assigned facilities to identify areas for clinical improvement
  • Identifies clinical development opportunities & inform local facility leadership about clinical “best practices.”
  • Acts as a regional mentor & coaches DONs for success at local facilities
  • May need to assist the DON in reviewing candidates for RN Management positions
  • Schedules facility/regional visits based on facility issues and compliance needs
  • Establishes quarterly/annual performance improvement goals together with local & regional clinical staff
  • Provides assistance & support throughout the survey process including preparation for survey, writing a plan of correction & developing an action plan, and monitoring for compliance
