Job summary

BMO Capital Markets is seeking a Senior QA Analyst to test electronic trading platforms and algorithmic trading solutions. You will collaborate with Trading, Quantitative Research, Technology, Risk, and Compliance teams to ensure quality, stability and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities include creating and executing test plans, validating new features, logging defects, and supporting test automation and CI/CD initiatives.

Qualifications

• Experience in QA, UAT, or application testing within Capital Markets.
• Knowledge of electronic trading platforms and trading workflows.
• Understanding of algorithmic trading and trading controls.
• Experience working with Trading, Technology, or Quantitative teams.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to translate business, technical, and control requirements into test cases.

Role Summary

The Senior QA Analyst is responsible for testing and validating electronic trading platforms, algorithmic trading solutions, and related controls. The role works closely with Trading, Quantitative Research, Technology, Risk, and Compliance teams to ensure system quality, stability, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

Required Qualifications

Technical Skills

• Experience with Jira, Azure DevOps, ALM, or similar tools.
• Familiarity with test automation tools and frameworks.
• Working knowledge of SQL and one or more programming languages such as Python, Java, C++, or .NET.
• Ability to analyze application logs and test results.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting electronic or algorithmic trading environments.
• Knowledge of FX, Fixed Income, Equities, or ETFs.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements related to electronic trading, including MiFID and 15c3-5
• Experience with automated testing and CI/CD practices.

Salary

The salary range for this role is $100,000 up to $160,000 CAD (subject to the candidate meeting the specific skills, experience, education, and qualification requirements)

Salaries for part‑time roles will be pro‑rated based on number of hours regularly worked.
