Castanet has an opening for a video journalist in Kelowna, B.C.

You will shoot, edit and appear on camera in daily news videos and write stories that reflect life in the Okanagan Valley.

Castanet News is one of the most-read news sites in Western Canada, with an audience of over 600,000 unique visitors a week and nine million page views.

You will be one of the public faces of Castanet in Kelowna through your video coverage. Experience in video editing is an asset, but training is provided.

You will work in coordination with other reporters in Kelowna and Castanet’s broader network of six newsrooms.

Your work week will run Tuesday to Saturday. This position is to fill an 18-month maternity leave, but the door is open for a permanent position for a high-performing candidate.

This position has an expected start date of early November 2026.
