Big Blue Bubble Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented Video Game Tester to join our Quality Assurance team. The role focuses on testing across mobile platforms, maintaining test plans, and reporting issues clearly to improve game quality.

The ideal candidate has extensive mobile gaming experience, strong attention to detail, and good written communication. This desk-based role involves both independent work and team collaboration with opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Experience with STLC and SDLC, defect/bug lifecycle.
• Experience with regression, smoke, exploratory, ad-hoc and localization testing.
• Experience testing across multiple platforms, especially mobile.
• Excellent attention to detail and precise bug reporting.
• Strong written communication and ability to document steps clearly.
• Able to work independently and in a team environment.

Big Blue Bubble is seeking a detail-oriented Video Game Tester to join our Quality Assurance team. The ideal candidate possesses extensive experience playing mobile games and is driven by a deep desire to learn, collaborate, and elevate the overall quality of our games.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive functionality, usability, consistency, content, and hardware compatibility testing across multiple game builds.
• Execute and maintain thorough test plans to ensure every build meets quality standards before release.
• Document in-game issues with detailed visual/reproductory logs in JIRA and by collaborating directly with programmers to reproduce, track, and resolve defects.
• Draft weekly reports on issues and concerns for the Quality Services Manager.
• Partner with the customer support team during peak periods, resolving user inquiries through our online ticketing system.

Skills:

• Excellent gameplay skills.
• Quality assurance and testing knowledge (understanding of STLC and SDLC, defect/bug lifecycle).
• Experience with regression, smoke, exploratory, ad-hoc and localization testing.
• Experience with different platforms, especially mobile.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Strong written communication - Keeping detailed notes to record bugs found.
• Able to work independently and in a team environment.
• Good computer skills with proficiency in Google suite, Adobe, and Atlassian products.
• Excellent organizational, time management, and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of defect tracking tools (JIRA preferred).
