The Toronto Star is seeking a highly motivated and exceptionally efficient Video & Audio Journalist to join our dynamic newsroom. This role is essential for increasing the volume and consistency of our multimedia output across all digital platforms. This role falls within the Journalist classification in the Star’s editorial department.
The video & audio journalist will be production focused. This is not an on-camera or on-mic role, however, that work could be required occasionally. The ideal candidate is a journalist at heart who thrives in a high-paced, high-volume environment and views their primary function as the rapid execution of video and audio content that meets the Star’s established standards and editorial strategy.
This position is heavily focused on the speed and volume of production and is driven by assignments and established formats. The successful candidate will:
Salary: $60,547.97 - $95,740.19

This is a notice of vacancy under Article 8 of collective agreement between Toronto Star Newspapers Limited and Unifor Local 87M. The hours of work for this position will vary according to the assignment but will all conform to a standard 35-hour work week as described under the collective agreement. This position will be located in Toronto.
