The VP is accountable for driving the growth and performance of a diverse lending portfolio for businesses across the agriculture, manufacturing, energy, and critical minerals sectors.
A key mandate of the role is driving collaboration across functions – including business development, credit structuring, and risk management teams spanning across Canada – ensuring a unified approach to client engagement and portfolio strategy. By aligning these groups around a shared vision and collective accountability, the VP bridges EDC’s commercial lending and risk management practices with EDC’s public policy mandate, ensuring that growth financing contributes meaningfully to broader economic development goals.

- Inspire a collective, shared vision for all team members focused around working towards the same goals – growth, impact, and sound lending – and ensure that decisions are made with a clear view of both commercial opportunity and EDC’s unique mandate.
