As a key member of our Private Assets team, you will collaborate with some of the industry’s most accomplished professionals to deliver award-winning services for complex fund structures that our clients depend upon.

Qualifications

• You have a university degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a professional accounting designation (CFA, CGA, CMA, CA, CPA).
• You possess 8+ years of public/private equity accounting experience.
• You have proven leadership experience, preferably as a Vice President or equivalent.
• You are skilled in negotiation, business planning, margin analysis, rating agency relations, and technical accounting.
• You have strong knowledge of waterfall structures, modeling, and calculations.
• You have a successful track record of delivering large-scale business/technology reengineering initiatives in private equity, hedge funds, and fund of funds businesses.
• You are knowledgeable about US GAAP and other comprehensive bases of accounting.
• You have experience reviewing and preparing general ledgers and financial statements.
• You can lead and motivate a team.
• You possess project management skills with attention to detail and the ability to multitask.
• You have excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
• You are proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel and Word) and experienced with the FIS Investran PE accounting platform, which is highly desirable.

Your Role:

• Lead and manage a team of managers and staff, providing guidance and support.
• Execute strategic plans to achieve business objectives.
• Oversee resource allocation and workflow to meet client SLAs.
• Ensure efficient daily operations.
• Oversee periodical Net Asset Value calculations for Private Equity Funds, including financial statement preparation, trial balance review, and partner/shareholder allocations.
• Review fund-specific expenses, including admin fees, management fees, carried interest, and other fees.
• Review accounting work, capital events, client deliverables, investor statements, and reporting prepared by staff.
• Ensure documentation compliance with internal and external/regulatory standards.
• Review private equity funds’ partnership agreements, PPMs, and other materials.
• Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, standards, and regulations.
• Maintain high standards of quality and accuracy.
• Liaise with Investor Relations, Waterfall, Tax, Financial Reporting, and other teams globally.
• Act as a client liaison for Fund Accounting services, maintaining relationships and responding to queries.
• Coordinate with external parties and manage external audits.
• Provide technical accounting and industry knowledge to clients.
• Collaborate on client onboarding, conversions, and service level agreements.
• Review operational processes and participate in recruitment, onboarding, and performance evaluations.
• Promote continuous improvement and learning within the department.
• Participate in automation, procedures, and special projects to enhance efficiency.
• Generate ad hoc reports as needed.
