Description

The Vice President of Business and Finance (VPBF) at Trinity College of Florida plays a vital role in advancing the College’s mission to develop Christian leaders who will fulfill the Great Commission through their lives and vocations. Reporting directly to the President and serving at the discretion of the Board of Trustees, the VPBF provides strategic and operational leadership for all financial functions of the institution—including fiscal planning, risk management, cash flow administration, financial reporting, and long-term sustainability. This position requires a servant leader who combines sound business judgment with a deep commitment to Christian stewardship. The VPBF will monitor key performance indicators to ensure financial integrity, forecast institutional stability, and identify opportunities for responsible growth—all while nurturing a culture of collaboration, faith, and family within the Trinity community. Key Responsibilities Oversee accounting, payroll, accounts payable/receivable, financial reporting, and risk management programs. Ensure financial practices comply with GAAP, state, and federal regulations. Serve as key financial advisor to the President and Board of Trustees regarding performance, risk, and opportunity. Oversee the preparation, implementation, and analysis of the institutional budget. Monitor cash flow, investments, and financial performance to ensure long-term stability. Maintain compliance with all audit, tax, and regulatory requirements. Develop financial models and reports to guide strategic and capital investment decisions. Recommend and implement policies that improve operational efficiency and fiscal transparency. Supervise finance staff and cultivate professional development grounded in biblical and ethical leadership. Uphold and model Trinity’s Core Values, fostering a culture of accountability, grace, and service. Coordinate annual audits and ensure prompt resolution of any findings. Lead continuous improvement in financial systems, technology, and reporting processes. Represent the College in relationships with lenders, auditors, donors, and external partners. Partner with senior leadership to promote a financially sustainable model that strengthens the mission and vision of Trinity College of Florida. Because of the requests from the state, federal and or accrediting agencies some statistical information beyond financial information may fall under the direction of theVPBF. Responsibilities are not limited to those listed above and may be subject to "as directed."

Preferred Qualifications ? Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (Master’s preferred). CPA or equivalent certification is strongly desired. Minimum 7 years of progressively responsible financial leadership experience, preferably in higher education or non-profit settings. Proven record of fiscal discipline, strategic foresight, and collaborative leadership. Commitment to Christ-centered decision-making and servant leadership principles.
