Mission

Are you an experienced finance professional with solid expertise in team management, cash flow, corporate finance, and financial analysis? Are you looking for a strategic role where you can leverage your leadership and analytical skills while having a direct impact on the financial health of the company?

We are looking for a Vice President - Finance to lead our team of financial directors, manage our cash flow forecasts, optimize our cash management, and maintain trusting relationships with our financial partners. As a member of the executive committee, this person plays a key role as an internal reference for all issues related to the company's financial management in a dynamic, stimulating, and performance-oriented environment.

In this position, you will have the opportunity to:

Management
  • Lead the team of financial directors who oversee their respective accounting teams.
  • Evaluate the performance of the finance function and its employees across all our businesses.
  • Support and coach the financial directors and their respective teams.
  • Manage succession planning in the finance teams.
Financing
  • Manage banking relationships: terms and conditions, fees, services, signatory matrix, account opening/closing cycle.
  • Administer existing facilities and prepare analyses for refinancing or additions if required.
  • Support the financial directors of business units in their government financial assistance projects (IQ, DEC, etc.).
Financial risk management and governance
  • Manage our insurance files (property, real estate, group)
  • Be the main point of contact for our insurers
  • Ensure governance of our accounts receivable collection and insurance processes
  • Define and execute a natural hedging strategy based on currency exposures
Financial management analysis
  • Take charge of analyzing multi-company investment projects (capital assets, R&D, etc.)
  • Perform financial analyses to support the executive committee
  • Support the operations team in establishing pricing/cost strategies to promote business development
Cash management
  • Manage our companies' cash flow and establish strategies
  • Develop and automate a short-, medium-, and long-term cash flow forecasting process
  • Produce daily cash flow reports and optimize the use of facilities to ensure liquidity
Governance & controls
  • Draft, implement, and maintain treasury policies: investments, hedging, bank account management, controls, and fraud/cyber payments
  • Work closely with the Vice President of Corporate Control and Taxation to ensure compliance in all aspects of our companies' finance, accounting, and taxation
Compliance & reporting
  • Calculate and monitor ratios on a monthly basis to ensure compliance with financial covenants; produce the compliance certificate and recommend actions to preserve financial flexibility

Profile

With the following skills and qualities, you will be successful in this role:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field
  • CPA and/or CFA professional designation required
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in team management, cash management, financial planning, or corporate finance in a complex corporate environment
  • Excellent understanding of banking products and cash management instruments
  • Strong analytical skills, rigor, and attention to detail
  • Proficiency with technological tools (advanced Excel, ERP, financial modeling tools)
  • Exercise good judgment, have keen political sense, and promote collaboration within the executive committee
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
  • Bilingualism in French and English is essential in order to communicate with our partners.
