Job summary

AtkinsRéalis in Canada seeks a Vice President Commercial to lead the Commercial function within the Nuclear Canada Business Unit during a period of growth and transformation. This executive role shapes commercial strategy, governance, and major negotiations with clients, partners, suppliers, and regulators.

You will develop high-performing teams and mentor future commercial leaders while driving risk management, margin protection, and performance culture across domestic and international markets.

Qualifications

• Ability to provide executive-level leadership in commercial, contractual, risk, and governance functions within complex project environments.
• Proficiency in commercial strategy, contract management, claims, procurement, risk allocation, and project delivery assurance.
• Ability to influence senior executives, clients, partners, suppliers, and external stakeholders on critical business decisions.
• Aptitude for leading high-performing teams, developing talent pipelines, and fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.
• Ability to translate complex commercial, contractual, and risk matters into clear recommendations that support strategic business objectives.

Responsibilities

• Lead commercial, contractual, proposal, and risk management strategies across a portfolio of complex nuclear projects throughout their full lifecycle.
• Develop and implement forward-looking commercial strategies, including contracting models, procurement approaches, risk allocation, and commercial controls.
• Advise executive leadership on commercial risk, liabilities, margin protection, governance, and strategic decision-making.
• Represent AtkinsRéalis in complex negotiations and engagements with clients, partners, suppliers, regulators, and other senior stakeholders.
• Oversee commercial governance frameworks, including bid approvals, contract approvals, risk reviews, and major commitment assurance processes.

• Provide executive leadership to the Commercial function, ensuring the organization has the capability, structure, succession plans, and performance culture required to support growth.
• Lead commercial, contractual, proposal, and risk management strategies across a portfolio of complex nuclear projects throughout their full lifecycle.
• Develop and implement forward-looking commercial strategies, including contracting models, procurement approaches, risk allocation, and commercial controls.
