A post-secondary institution in British Columbia is seeking a Vice President, Academic and Provost to lead academic programming, provide strategic direction, and implement programs effectively. The ideal candidate will possess a doctoral degree, have over five years of instructional experience and senior administrative experience, and exhibit strong leadership skills in a higher education environment. This is a unique opportunity to influence academic success and advancement within the institution.
The Vice President, Academic and Provost is the College’s senior academic administrator and reports directly to the College President and Chief Executive Officer.
The Vice President, Academic and Provost is responsible for the College’s Academic Division, providing strategic direction and ensuring implementation and evaluation of its credit and non-credit courses and programs, applied research and business development. The Vice President, Academic and Provost promotes the College’s public profile, working collaboratively with other members of the College leadership team and program leaders to further the academic priorities in the College’s Strategic Plan.

The ideal candidate will have a doctoral degree from a reputable post-secondary institution supplemented by a minimum of five (5) years of experience as an instructor at a post-secondary institution and a minimum of five (5) years of senior and/or mid-level administrative experience in a post-secondary institution.
This position requires a strong understanding of the BC public post-secondary system with demonstrated and superior leadership, strategic-thinking, analytical, and organizational skills. An equivalent combination of education and relevant experience will also be considered.
The anticipated start date for this position is the Winter semester of 2026.
