Job summary

Baxter International Inc. is hiring a Packing Operator for its Alliston facility on the Afternoon shift (Mon-Fri 15:00–23:00 EST). You will set up equipment, move and package sterilized products, and ensure quality standards are met in a busy GMP environment.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, experience with repetitive tasks, and flexibility to weekend shifts. Safety gear and teamwork are emphasized in daily operations.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working in a fast-paced environment (assembly line setting preferred).

Responsibilities

• Set up case sealer and ensure machines are operating properly.
• Move sterilized trucks from the sterilized staging area to the packing staging area.
• Remove screens from trucks and unload sterilized products onto conveyor.
• Inspect and pack the Viaflex units and remove garbage from the area.
• Uphold thorough quality standards by following SOPs and cGMP practices.
• Notify supervisor of safety or quality issues and take appropriate action.

We are currently looking for an energetic, hard-working Packing Operator to work a permanent full-time position on our Afternoon shift (Monday to Friday 15:00h-23:00h EST) at our Alliston facility!

The following are dress/gowning requirements: safety glasses, safety shoes, ear plugs, jumpsuit, hood, hairnet, beard cover, gloves, isolation mask and boots (additional PPE required when cleaning)

• Involves working around equipment, machinery, and belts

What You'll Be Doing

The Packing Operator is responsible for performing the following duties: set up case sealer, ensure machines are operating properly, move sterilized trucks from sterilized staging area to packing staging area, remove screens from trucks, unload sterilized products onto conveyor, inspect and pack the viaflex units. Remove empty trucks to staging area and remove garbage from area.

Duties performed on a rotational basis

• Set up case sealer
• Ensure Machines are operating properly
• Move sterilized trucks from sterilized staging area to packing staging area
• Remove screens from trucks
• Unload sterilized products onto conveyor
• Inspect and pack the viaflex units
• Remove empty trucks to staging area and remove garbage from area.

Duties performed on a continual or intermittent basis

• Learn, understand and apply thorough quality standards, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP)
• Notify the supervisor and take appropriate action if any safety, quality, mechanical or discrepancy issues occur
• Sustain a clean and safe work area using 6S principles

You may also be entitled to a shift premium for all shift premium eligible hours which will be included in your bi-weekly pay.
